There are moments in life that alter everything—not because they change your circumstances, but because they mark your soul. My journey has been shaped by such moments. Trauma, grief, betrayal, and despair have not just visited my life—they’ve left deep painful imprints. At fifteen, I was kidnapped, assaulted, and nearly killed——a horror and trauma that nearly ended my life when I tried to take it soon after. I didn’t understand how a world could be filled with so much hurt and cruelty. I only knew I was broken—and I didn’t know how to put myself back together. I couldn’t fix it, and the pain and suffering was relentless, like wave after wave crashing without mercy—pulling me under before I could catch my breath. The years marched on and brought more pain and suffering. I spent years searching for Jesus, trying to understand the Bible through blurry eyes of pain, suffering, and confusion.
But even in the darkest corners of my story, I can look back now and see Jesus. Pursuing. Waiting. Preserving. I didn’t always know how to hear Him, and for a long time, I struggled to understand His Word. But in time—and through many painful roads—His Word became my lifeline.
This book was born out of years in the wilderness of despair. Years of raising children as a single mother, walking a road filled with heartbreak, sacrifice, and silent tear-filled prayers whispered between survival and surrender. Watching my loved ones endure their own unspoken intense suffering and carrying the deep ache of unanswered questions. I have seen suffering from every angle—my own, my family’s, my children’s, and a world of deeply hurting souls around me that I can’t close my eyes to. I carry their pain like a fire in my bones —and I’ve learned to look at it through the eyes of the One who redeems. I don’t write as someone who has mastered the pain, but as someone who has been met by God in it. That is the difference. That fire in my bones has turned into a holy burden. A burden for the broken, the weary, the seekers, and the ones who feel stuck and don’t know where to turn. Maybe that’s you. Maybe you’re trying to understand who God is, or maybe you’ve known Him, but life has left your faith bruised, this book was written for you.
This devotional is not written for those who want tidy answers or neat clichés. It’s for the weary. The ones who’ve prayed and waited. The ones who feel stuck, hollow, or barely hanging on. It’s for those who are seeking—sometimes angrily, sometimes desperately—but still open enough to hope. Whether you know the Lord intimately or barely at all, this book was written with you in mind.
This devotional isn’t filled with fluff. It’s honest. We’ll talk about the hard things—grief, trauma, shame, spiritual battles, and the lies we’ve carried. But we won’t stay stuck there. Every entry is rooted in Scripture and includes life application to help you walk it out in your real life. You won’t just read about God’s Word—you’ll learn how to live it. My prayer is that these pages help you grow stronger in the Lord, stand firm against the enemy, and draw closer to the heart of the One who sees you, knows you, and hasn’t given up on you, and he never will.
I’m tired of watching Satan steal, kill, and destroy the lives of people God loves. This world is drowning in pain, but we have a Savior. Jesus Christ came to restore what the enemy tried to ruin, and He sees you not as damaged, but as a masterpiece being restored. My deepest desire is to help you see that too.
Each page is rooted in Scripture—not just quoted but applied. You’ll find life application steps to help you walk the Word out, even when your legs are trembling. I’ve included Greek and Hebrew word studies, not to impress, but to reveal deeper layers of truth. Because the Bible isn’t just a book—it’s breath and life for the soul. It’s healing for the wounded. It’s a sword for those who forgot they were warriors.
What I’ve learned is this: Satan works tirelessly to destroy every life formed in Gods image, lives God handcrafted in love—because every soul reflects His glory, and every life was created for His joy, His love, and for communion with the creator. That’s why the battles are so fierce. Even if you feel trampled by life, too weary to believe again, or too hollow inside to hope—God still speaks life over what looks lifeless. You don’t have to stay confused or stuck. You were made to rise.
“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair… struck down, but not destroyed.” —2 Corinthians 4:8–9
This devotional is my offering—born of fire, forged through pain, and surrendered to the God who wastes nothing. I pray that as you read, you will not only find comfort, but courage. Not just understanding but equipping. And that you will feel seen by the One who has never stopped pursuing your heart.
You are not forgotten. You are not too far gone. And this is not how your story ends. You were created for so much more!
If you’ve ever felt too broken to be used… too weary to keep going… too deep in it to believe God could really work in your mess—this devotional is for you.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Welcome! You’re not alone anymore. There is healing here. There is hope here. You are not forgotten. You are not too far gone. Yes, your story has an enemy—the kind that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But it also has a Savior. And His name is Jesus.
Your story isn’t over yet.
